Today was one of those days in my room. Bad weather, new seats, computer lab=hyped up kiddos! One thing I have to say about my class this year is that they love to be read to! They like to get into the conversation, and they LOVE a good book. I found one today. My teaching partner lent it to me because we are working on Asking Questions. The book is called The Three Questions by Jon J. Muth and it is based on a story by Leo Tolstoy. It is a deep one, but one that the kiddos can relate to. The main character, Nickolai wants to know how to act. He wants to be a good person and is sure that he can be if he can just get the answers to his three questions: “When is the best time to do things?” “Who is the most important one?” and “What is the right thing to do?” He finds out with the help of some animal friends. It has a profound ending that they kiddos really enjoy talking about. Click on the picture below to check it out at Amazon!
